EmD & L.L.C. was founded by Shawntay Mathews, owner, and designer. Shawntay is a Georgia native, has a degree in biology and is passionate about interior design and wedding planning. As a child, she enjoyed sketching, creating, and constantly rearrange her rooms. Her father was a true craftsman and her grandmother exposed her to the chic interior style of her time. Growing up in a household without much disposable income taught her how to be innovative. After years of being in the healthcare and legal field, she decided to take her skills and gifts seriously. Decorating homes and planning weddings just happened to be two of those. EmD, Emerald Designs, grew from a need to express her artistry to a business that focuses on giving clients comfort in style. It’s important to her to make interior design and wedding planning services accessible for everyone. Each of her projects begin with connecting to her client and end with reliability.
